Mediation helps foster a sport of understanding. It is a dispute resolution process in which a neutral 3rd party (Mediator) assists the participants to reach a voluntary and informed settlement. This alternative to litigation empowers individuals to understand each party’s perception while respecting the rights of others.
Mediation provides a problem solving approach to disputes, focusing on the needs and interests of the participants with considered fairness, privacy, self-determination and the best interests of all concerned. In mediation, you can negotiate a settlement that you can live with. The Mediator does not make the decision, you do.
